About Starlix

Take control with Starlix

Starlix is an oral type 2 diabetes medication that can lower your overall blood sugar, also known as A1c, by reducing the high blood sugar levels that happen after you eat. These high blood sugar levels are also referred to as "spikes."

Starlix works by triggering the release of insulin at the start of a meal to reduce those spikes — which over time can help you lower your A1c.

Easy dosing. Easy control.

Just taking 1 Starlix tablet with a glass of water immediately before each main meal helps you take control of blood sugar. If you skip a meal, simply skip that dose.

Because Starlix helps control blood sugar that increases during mealtime, it's important to take a tablet before each main meal. Taking Starlix after you've started eating will reduce its effectiveness. Learn more about how to take Starlix.

Starlix can be taken alone or with other medications as part of your diabetes treatment program.

If you have type 2 diabetes and your blood sugar is not controlled, talk to your doctor about Starlix.
