Safety Information

Do not take Starlix if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Starlix. Your doctor or pharmacist can give you a complete list of the ingredients in Starlix.

Starlix should not be taken by patients with type 1 diabetes or patients with a condition known as diabetic ketoacidosis.

As with all oral anti-diabetes medicines, Starlix should not be taken by women who are pregnant or breast-feeding.

As with any oral anti-diabetes medication, you may experience side effects when taking Starlix. The most common side effects with Starlix included mild cold or flu-like symptoms, dizziness, backache, joint ache, and diarrhea.

If you experience symptoms of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) such as feeling shaky, sweaty, tired, feeling hungry, dizziness, irritability, or confusion, call your doctor right away. Low blood sugar levels occurred in 2.4% of patients taking Starlix.
