Important Product Information

Starlix is indicated as initial monotherapy or as add-on therapy to patients on metformin or a TZD who are not at HbA1c goal.

As with any oral anti-diabetes medication, you may experience side effects when taking Starlix. In studies, complications with Starlix included mild cold- or flu-like symptoms, dizziness, backache and joint ache. Low blood sugar levels occurred in 2.4% of patients taking Starlix.

Starlix should be used with caution in patients with moderate to severe liver disease because such patients have not been studied.
